Join us for a powerful Spark Session featuring two women‑led financial and accounting businesses dedicated to helping women make their money work for them, build financial freedom, and launch their own successful ventures. Learn how to start a business, stay financially organized, and access grants and resources created specifically for women entrepreneurs.
We’re also honored to welcome Angels of Mercy, who will share their organization’s overall mission and the many ways they support women—including some of their current areas of focus in today’s world.
Together, this panel delivers practical tools, real‑world guidance, and a message of strength, independence, and possibility.
Meet the Panel:
Jessica Spencer is the CFO of Sun Lion Financial Group and a woman-led finance professional dedicated to helping business owners build real financial freedom. With over a decade of experience in accounting, budgeting, and strategic finance, she helps businesses move from surviving to thriving by turning numbers into clear, confident decisions. Jessica’s work centers on financial clarity, ownership, and sustainability empowering business owners to make their money work for them, not the other way around.
Ann Marie Depoian is the owner of Depoian Team, a certified woman-owned business and licensed financial advisory firm that recently celebrated 25 years of service. Ann Marie holds licenses in National Mortgage loan originator, Series 6, 63, 26, 65, Life & Health Insurance & Fiduciary. She is certified to assist clients in debt management, auto, home & small business insurance, legal protection, and is a Vivint authorized provider. The Depoian Team office, located in her hometown of Irondequoit, employs 30 agents and they are currently expanding their team. Ann Marie is also a mother, wife to her husband who is an agent at Depoian Team and sits on multiple community boards including the Irondequoit Chamber and Women in PrimeAmerica.
Mary Jo Gugino Colligan is the Founder and President of Angels of Mercy. As a survivor of Domestic Violence in her first marriage, she began this ministry in 2007 with a mission of helping hurting girls and young women. Having experienced many challenges in her life time and that of her family, she did so with a true passion. Her desire of believing that every woman should be able to ‘spread her wings and fly’, certainly propelled she, her husband and team of dedicated volunteers into action! Mary Jo is part of community organizations including the Rochester Regional Coalition Against Human Trafficking, the American Association of University Women, the Irondequoit Chamber of Commerce and many more. She has received several awards for her charitable contributions such as 2011 Person of the Year from the Irondequoit Chamber, 2014 Woman of the Year from Rochester Federation of Women's Club and a multitude of others.
